The Medical Community Got Acquainted with the Shvabe Ambulances

The delegation of doctors from district and central hospitals of the Nizhny Novgorod region, led by the head of the territorial Center for Disaster Medicine, Mikhail Sozonov, made a working visit to a subsidiary of the Shvabe Holding The meeting was held at the Shvabe-SpecAuto plant, where the production of ambulances is launched. Car’s production started in Nizhny Novgorod in 2021. A number of models released here are already used by medical institutions in Russia and the CIS countries. The Shvabe-Moscow company participates in their deliveries as part of the Holding. The guests got acquainted with the novelties of the line: four-wheel drive Niva Kub of class A, Niva Prima of class B, and also MAZ Ambulance of class B/C. A technology of hidden armoring is used in the production of these cars. The interest was caused by cross-country vehicles. The delegation members emphasized the need for them when transporting patients from hard-to-reach settlements. “The medical community was very positive about the new cars and shared an expert opinion on how to improve their ergonomics. In the near future the designers will study all the proposals and refine these models. During the visit it was also decided to transfer class B Niva Prima for testing. The car will be tested in one of the remote areas of the Nizhny Novgorod region,” said Sergey Dmitrochenko, Deputy General Director of Shvabe. Earlier, the Shvabe-SpecAuto plant launched a new assembly line for small-tonnage medical- and special-purpose vehicles based on LADA Granta, Niva and MAZ.
